This was the most delicious soup. I made it for our family camping trip and everyone loved it.

Excellent comfort food. I added a small can of tomato sauce at the end to add a little brightness to an otherwise excellent recipe.

Whenever I rate a recipe I make sure that I make the recipe as called for. On that note, I thought the soup was very good especially with using canned vegetables. It taste like homemade to me and is super easy. So for a super easy recipe and great taste, I will be making it again. Thanks for the recipe.

I used the ingredients as listed, but opted for fresh rather than canned. Delicious.

You really cant get more simple than this!! And honestly its really good. I took a few tips from other reviewers and made a couple of my own and it turned out great. Any of the vegetables that I could find in low sodium I used.... I used the juice from all but the green beans.... not sure why but the recipe didnt say to use it so I didnt. I used both package of the beef onion soup mix that came in the box. I added a few splashes, maybe a tablespoon of worst. sauce and a few shakes of garlic powder. Plus I used 2 cans of low sodium beef broth... I'm glad I did because it would have too thick without. What I didnt do and would do next time for sure is cut the stew meat into fours.... it was way too big as it came for soup. This is a very easy and good recipe... a keeper for sure!! Doesnt taste like canned vegetables at all!!

I give this a 5 for ease of preparation but only a three for taste -- and isn't that what really matters? It tastes just like canned vegetable beef soup. If I'm going to go to any more trouble than opening up a can (even if it's opening up 5 or 6 cans) then I really want my meal to taste better. Also: WHOO-EEEEE! CANNED POTATOES SMELL AWFUL! Like wet cat food or something rotten. It was so bad I couldn't even think of eating them and the smell stuck around the house for hours. AVOID CANNED POTATOES! I served the soup with a tasty artisian bread instead -- a real highlight.

Delicious! I couldn't find the soup packet called for, so I bought a beef stew seasoning packet, which worked well. Also subbed wine for the water and added a good bit more liquid than indicated-- better to be too watery when I got home than burned. Also added some chopped celery and worst sauce. Used diced tomatoes instead of crushed. My husband loved the canned sliced potatoes. Will definitely make again.

This was great! I modified this a little. I always brown the meat a little before putting it in the slow cooker, you don't need to but I like it that way. I used two bags frozen veggies, one mixed veggies and the other the seasoned veggies with potatoes. I used the 28 oz can of diced tomatoes and I either have added a little more water or I have used beef or vegetable broth. I have also cut up some celery if I had it on hand when I was making it. I have made this many times since I found this recipe. Thanks for sharing!

I didn't have the onion soup mix and used a can of Progresso onion soup instead. Very easy and actually tasted better the second day as left-overs.

Delicious soup as written. Quick and easy. It annoys me that some people rate and write a review and tell us all the different things they did to change the recipe. They should write and submit their own recipe.

I'm giving this 5 stars because of the 4.5-star taste and the 5-star simplicity! I did add a can of beef broth and a bit of garlic. Unbelievably good for the effort involved! I don't understand the other reviewers who change a recipe completely and then give negative reviews. Frozen vegetables will NOT be as good as canned (the soup will be watery and bland) so please try the recipe as written first! :-)

Great Beef Veggie Soup. We used canned vegetables but would recommend using the low sodium canned veggies.
